Eight people were hurt on Tuesday when a microbus near the Bangabandhu tunnel at Anwara point in Chattogram toppled. One of the injured was a Bangladesh Navy member.

The injured were identified as follows: Farhana Akter, 26, Munna, 25, Kanchim, 22, Sazzad Hossain, Ali Martuza, 27, Rashedul Karim, 28, and 39-year-old Navy member Gazi Mahbub Rahman Rony.

Eight people were injured in the morning accident, according to Zahir Uddin, officer-in-charge of the Karnaphuli Police Station. The microbus's driver lost control of the wheels due to poor visibility caused by dense fog, and it skidded off the road and overturned after hitting a traffic police box on the road divider.

Gazi Mahbub was transported to Patenga BNS Hospital among the injured, while Chattogram Medical College and Hospital received the remaining patients.
