On Thursday morning, (May 9), a training fighter jet of the Bangladesh Air Force fell into the Karnaphuli River near Chattogram, resulting in the death of one pilot and injuries to another.
Asim Jawad, the pilot, died at BNS Issa Khan Hospital in Patenga at 12:30 p.m., according to Deputy Commissioner Shakila Sultana of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Port Divison. It is Wing Commander Sohan who gets hurt.
With the use of parachutes, the two pilots were able to exit the aircraft. After being saved, they were brought to the hospital. Near the Boat Club, the Zahurul Haq Base BAF aircraft went down.
