Jhalakathi, Apr 22 (V7N)- A field day showcasing the Kohinur variety of maize crop took place in Kanthalia, Jhalakathi, on Tuesday afternoon. The event was held at the Akonpara field in the Uttar Aura block of Sadar Union, organized by the Upazila Agriculture Office. Social worker Md. Lutfar Rahman Akon presided over the program.

The Upazila Agriculture Officer, Agriculturist Imran Bin Islam, attended as the chief guest. Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Md. Raihanul Islam and Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Md. Amirul Islam were the special guests.

Several individuals addressed the gathering, including Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Md. Hasibur Rahman, former president of Upazila Jubo Dal Kishore Mahmud, convener of Upazila Volunteer Dal Md. Hasib Bhutro, social worker Nazmus Saleh Mamun Akon, and farmers Mahmud Akon and Mainul Akon.
