Dhaka, Sep 26 (V7N) – The government has made the draft list of martyrs from the July-August uprising available for public review and correction until October 6, allowing family members and representatives to verify, correct, or add details such as names and addresses. The draft, listing 708 martyrs, was published on Wednesday.
The draft list can be accessed on the Health Service Department's website (www.hsd.gov.bd) and the Directorate General of Health Services' website (www.dghs.gov.bd), according to an official handout.
Compiled using information from public and private hospitals, as well as district sources, the list features those who lost their lives in the student-led anti-discrimination movement. The government has urged families, successors, and representatives to review the list and ensure its accuracy.
In case of missing or incorrect details, individuals can contact their respective deputy commissioners, civil surgeons, upazila nirbahi officers (UNOs), or upazila health and family welfare officers, providing relevant documents to make corrections.
To make changes, family members and representatives must first register using their National ID (NID) or birth registration and mobile number. After printing the relevant martyr's information, they can fill in any missing details and take the document to the appropriate hospital or nearby government hospital, where officials will assist in updating the records online.
The updated information can be rechecked on the websites to ensure proper inclusion or correction.
