Cox’s Bazar, Oct 18 (V7N)— The government is committed to establishing economic prosperity, political stability, and the rule of law, said A.F.M. Khalid Hossain, the Religious Adviser, during a press briefing at the Circuit House in Cox's Bazar on Friday afternoon. He emphasized that the Election Commission will be overhauled to ensure a free, fair, and impartial national election.

The religious adviser acknowledged the declining public interest in voting and the deterioration of the election system. "The culture of elections has disappeared in our country, and people’s interest in voting has decreased. The voting system has been destroyed, and we are determined to reform it," he remarked.

Addressing questions about allegations of corruption in model mosques across Bangladesh, the adviser stated that an investigation committee has already been formed. "If corruption is confirmed, legal action will be taken accordingly," he assured.

Earlier in the day, the adviser visited the Cox’s Bazar Central Model Mosque and Cultural Center, along with other religious institutions in the area.
