Dhaka, Oct 29 (V7N)- The government has unveiled two revised Hajj packages for 2025, significantly lowering costs for pilgrims. The minimum cost under the first government package has been set at Tk 4,78,241, a reduction of Tk 1,00,598 from the previous year's rates, while the second package is priced at Tk 5,75,680, according to Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain, who announced the details at a press briefing on Wednesday.

Private pilgrims will need to pay Tk 4,83,156, with additional options for special packages offered by private agencies. Hajj-2025 is scheduled to take place on Zilhaj 9 (June 5), subject to the sighting of the moon. The number of pilgrims remains consistent with last year at 1,27,198. For reference, the 2024 Hajj packages were priced at Tk 5,78,840 for the standard government package and Tk 9,36,320 for the special package.

Registration for Hajj began on September 1 and will continue through November 30 for both government and private options.
