Dhaka, Dec 30 (V7N) — Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has emphasised the importance of bringing guilty police officers to justice and urged the administration to work with the spirit of the "24th Uprising." He made these remarks during a video conference with divisional commissioners and district administrators on Monday morning.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Yunus described field-level administration as the backbone of the government. He stressed the interim government's commitment to controlling prices and ensuring the rights of all citizens.
“Accountability within law enforcement is critical,” he stated, adding that justice must prevail to uphold public trust in governance.
The Chief Advisor’s address was broadcast live by Bangladesh Television from his office meeting room. Commissioners and deputy commissioners from all divisions, including Dhaka, joined the conference virtually from their respective offices, sharing insights and suggestions to support the government's interim goals.
Dr. Yunus concluded by urging the administration to prioritise public welfare and ensure that all government actions reflect transparency and fairness.
