The event happened on Friday morning at the Charshaha Bhikari High School polling site in the Char Darbesh union of the upazila.
According to reports, a Sonagazi fire station unit arrived on the site and, after an hour of work, was able to put out the fire.
The fire that destroyed the teacher's room in the school administrative building resulted in damage to some items.

According to Tasnim Hossain, Senior Assistant Superintendent of authorities (Sonagazi-Daganbhuiyan Circle), authorities are looking into the incident to see if it was intended to obstruct the election process.

Investigations are still being conducted to find out what caused the event, according to Sonagazi Upazila Assistant Returning Officer Kamrul Hasan.

The electoral official added that there will be increased security for the next poll.

President Dr. Abdul Haque removed Headmaster Joynal Abedin from his job during the school's audit, according to Khair Ullah, the temporary headmaster.

He suggested that there's a chance this continuous conflict had something to do with the fire incident.

In the parliamentary election on Sunday, 4,354 men and women are scheduled to cast ballots at the Charsaha Bhikari High School centre.
