Dhaka, Feb 09 (V7N) – Families of several martyrs from the July Uprising met with Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus on Sunday, where they discussed a range of issues, including the trial of the murders committed during the uprising and the recognition of the sacrifices made by the injured and martyrs.

The meeting, held at the State Guest House Jamuna, focused on the formation of the July Uprising Directorate, the provision of state honors, and financial assistance for the families of those affected. Rehabilitation efforts were also a key topic of discussion.

Professor Yunus listened to the expectations and demands of the martyrs' families and outlined the government's ongoing initiatives as well as future plans to address their concerns. He assured them of the government’s commitment to ensuring justice and providing adequate support to the families of the martyrs and the injured.

Among others present at the meeting were Information and Broadcasting Advisor Nahid Islam and Sarjis Alam, one of the key organizers of the July Uprising.
