Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister, Obaidul Quader, acknowledged the persistent issue of extortion within the transport sector, stating that it has plagued the industry for a considerable duration. Speaking at a press conference held at Awami League's central office, Quader assured ongoing efforts to curb this longstanding problem.

Addressing concerns over essential commodity prices, Quader affirmed the government's earnest commitment to regulating market prices. He expressed confidence in achieving tangible outcomes through continued dedication and efforts.

Regarding the political landscape, Quader dismissed BNP's aspirations for a swift change in government, asserting that any alteration in leadership must occur through electoral processes. He emphasized the necessity for patience and adherence to democratic principles for a legitimate transition of power.

Quader highlighted the diminishing relevance of BNP, noting waning public support for the party's agenda. He reiterated the populace's satisfaction with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's leadership, underscoring her integrity, diligence, and widespread acceptance among citizens.

Responding to queries about the potential impact of Dr. Muhammad Yunus' situation on Bangladesh-US relations, Quader expressed confidence in the resilience of bilateral ties, indicating minimal disruption.
