Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan has called upon everyone to embrace the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in order to foster a non-communal Bangladesh.

Speaking at a children's conference held at the Supreme Court auditorium on Sunday, Chief Justice Hassan emphasized the importance of upholding Bangabandhu's ideals to ensure peaceful coexistence among people of all faiths.

Prior to the conference, the chief justice paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying a wreath at his portrait at Dhanmondi 32, commemorating the 104th birth anniversary of the esteemed leader.

Later, Chief Justice Hassan paid further respects to Bangabandhu by placing a floral wreath at the Smriti Chiranjieeb in the Supreme Court's inner courtyard, alongside justices from both the Appellate Division and High Court Division, as well as court officials.

As a gesture of goodwill, the chief justice distributed candies among the children attending the program.
