President Mohammed Shahabuddin participated in the joint Military Hardware Exhibition held at the National Parade Square on Monday, commemorating Independence Day and National Day-2024.

Welcomed by Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, and Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Lt General Mizanur Rahman Shameem, the President toured various stalls and pavilions representing the army, navy, and air force. He observed demonstrations of both light and heavy weaponry and received briefings from officials on their capabilities.

The exhibition provided insight into the advanced military equipment utilized by the armed forces, showcasing their readiness and capabilities. Additionally, the President enjoyed a cultural program featuring artists from Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra and participated in a photo session during the visit.

Secretary officials accompanying the President also attended the event, emphasizing the significance of the exhibition in highlighting the country's defense preparedness.

The combined Military Hardware Exhibition, inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will remain open to the public from March 26 to March 30, allowing visitors to witness firsthand the advancements and capabilities of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty and security.
