Dhaka, Feb 11 (V7N) — Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus met with an election observation team from the Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum.
The meeting was held at the State Guest House Jamuna on Wednesday. A seven-member ANFREL delegation led by Rohana Hettiarachchi attended the discussion.
Lamia Morshed, Principal Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the Office of the Chief Advisor, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were also present at the meeting.
The 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum will be held across the country on February 12. Voting will take place simultaneously in 299 parliamentary constituencies from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm using ballot papers and transparent ballot boxes.
The Election Commission (EC) has postponed voting in the Sherpur-3 constituency following the death of Jamaat-nominated candidate Md. Nuruzzaman Badal.
