DHAKA, March 7, (V7N) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman continued official duties at his Tejgaon office on Saturday, marking the third consecutive weekly holiday since assuming office on February 17.

According to a Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) press release, several advisers and senior officials also attended their offices, including Ismail Zabiullah, Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, and Mahdi Amin, alongside Press Secretary Saleh Shibly and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.

The premier arrived at the PMO at 12:00 noon and began a busy schedule. His first meeting was with Dr. Nargis Akter, Director General of the Bangladesh Jute Research Institute, to discuss strategies for increasing the diversified use of jute products and expanding their market.

At 2:30 pm, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood met the Prime Minister. Their discussions focused on reducing costs in the power and energy sector and ensuring effective energy management.

Later in the evening, the Prime Minister is scheduled to host an iftar at the State Guest House Jamuna in honour of the country’s ulema, mashayekh, and orphans. He will join the iftar directly from his office.
