During an inspection of the Hatikumrul Highway area in Sirajganj, Additional Inspector General of Highway Police Shahabuddin Khan informed reporters about the government's intensified efforts to facilitate a seamless journey for the millions of Eid holidaymakers.

Khan emphasized the coordination among highway police and relevant authorities to implement various initiatives aimed at ensuring smooth travel experiences. He highlighted the identification of areas prone to traffic congestion based on past experiences and assured stringent safety measures for travelers on the roads.

In addition, Khan underscored the implementation of strict surveillance measures against unauthorized vehicles to mitigate potential disruptions. He acknowledged the historical challenges of highway congestion during Eid due to the mass exodus from Dhaka but expressed confidence that this year's journey would be the safest and most hassle-free yet, thanks to the proactive measures being undertaken by authorities.
