Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the newly constructed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Battery Complex at Halishahar Cantonment in Chittagong on Sunday.

The inauguration took place at the Artillery Center and School located within Chittagong's Halishahar Cantonment.

Following the inauguration ceremony, the prime minister toured the Artillery Museum housed within the newly constructed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Battery Complex.

During her visit, she observed a sculpture depicting the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, prominently displayed at the museum.

She also viewed the historic 3.7-inch howitzer, which fired the first shot of the Mujib Battery during the War of Liberation, along with the ammunition used by the artillery regiment. Additionally, replicas of various cannons and displays showcasing the illustrious history of the artillery forces' contributions during the Liberation War were featured.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Hasina participated in a Darbar held at the venue.
