During the inaugural session of the "ICPD30 Global Dialogue on Demographic Diversity and Sustainable Development," Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the United Nations and other international bodies to play a more active role in providing essential healthcare services to Palestinians facing challenges due to Israeli aggression and occupation. The event, hosted by Bangladesh, Bulgaria, and Japan in collaboration with UNFPA, aimed to address demographic shifts and sustainable development challenges. Hasina emphasized the importance of international cooperation in safeguarding public health, especially amid climate change impacts, and highlighted the plight of marginalized populations, including Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and Palestinians affected by conflict. Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud and other dignitaries also spoke at the event, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts to address global health challenges and support vulnerable populations.
