The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers across all eight divisions over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.

According to the weather bulletin issued this morning, "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, with moderately heavy to very heavy falls expected in some areas across the country."

The bulletin notes that the monsoon is currently active over Bangladesh and strong over the North Bay, which will contribute to the widespread rainfall.

As a result of the active monsoon, day temperatures are expected to fall slightly, while night temperatures will remain nearly unchanged across the country.

Looking ahead, the weather outlook for the next 72 hours indicates that the rainfall activity is likely to continue.

On Saturday, Ishurdi recorded the highest temperature in the country at 35.0 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded today was 23.8 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

In the last 24 hours, Panchagarh experienced significant rainfall, recording 182 mm starting from 6 am today.

In Dhaka, the sun is set to rise at 5:15 am tomorrow and will set at 6:50 pm today.
