Since Sunday morning, Dhaka and other regions of Bangladesh have experienced heavy rainfall.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts light to moderate, and occasionally heavy, rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds across all eight divisions for the next 24 hours starting from 9 am on Monday.

The weather bulletin stated, "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind is likely at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at different locations."

Monsoon activity is strong over Bangladesh and the North Bay, it added.

Temperatures, both day and night, might drop slightly across the country.

The extended weather outlook for the next 72 hours suggests continued rainfall activity.

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no 3.

On Monday, the highest temperature was recorded at 33.8°C in Jessore, and the lowest at 23.8°C in Bandarban. In the last 24 hours from 6 am on Monday, 108mm of rainfall was recorded in Bandarban.
