The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) has approved the procurement of one cargo of LNG and 70,000 metric tons of fertilizer to meet the country's growing demands.

Petrobangla will procure LNG from M/S Excelerate Energy, LP, United States, costing approximately Taka 609.28 crore. Additionally, the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) will import DAP and MOP fertilizers from Saudi Arabia and Russia, respectively, under state-level agreements.

The committee also approved a draft agreement between Sylhet Gas Fields Limited and Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation, China.
