State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid assured that Bangladesh would have an uninterrupted gas supply by 2027. He announced several strategic plans, including a proposed gas pipeline to China, to address the current gas crisis, expected to be resolved by mid-July.
He noted that the cost of electricity from gas and coal-fired plants has been unstable, but electricity prices at the consumer level will not increase for now.
