Students from North South University, Brac University, Independent University, Bangladesh, and State University of Bangladesh have blocked major roads in Dhaka, including Merul Badda Road and the area in front of Jamuna Future Park.

The demonstrations are in protest against attacks on students and in support of quota reform across the country.

Brac University students initiated their blockade at Merul Badda around 10:30 am, causing closures in both directions from Rampura Bridge to Kuril Bishwa Road.

Traffic diversions via Hatirjheel and Badda Link Road have been recommended due to congestion around Banasree, Notun Bazar, and Badda.

Students from NSU, IUB, and other universities began their protests at 11:15 am, leading to further road closures.

Police presence has been heightened to manage the situations across these locations.
