Dhaka, July 29 (V7N)– Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Hospital on Sunday to see those injured in the recent violence surrounding the quota reform movement. Following her visit to the Central Police Hospital (CPH) in Rajarbagh earlier in the afternoon, the Prime Minister went directly to BSMMU Hospital.

During her visit, Sheikh Hasina inquired about the condition and treatment of the injured. She directed hospital authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure proper care for the victims and assured them of the government's full support.

BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Haque and the hospital's director, Brigadier General Dr. Md. Rezaur Rahman, briefed the Prime Minister on the ongoing treatment efforts.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were Member of Parliament Sheikh Helal, Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister M. Tofazzal Hossain Mia, Press Secretary Md. Naeemul Islam Khan, and private physician Dr. ABM Abdullah.

The Prime Minister's visit to BSMMU follows her recent visits to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Friday and Pangu Hospital on Saturday, where she also checked on the injured from the nationwide violence.
