The Dhaka metro rail is set to resume operations today On sunday with an updated schedule, though the weekly off-day will continue to be Friday. This was announced by the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) in a press release, where they also mentioned that detailed travel instructions for passengers will be available on their official website and Facebook page.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the metro rail will not be stopping at the Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations initially. This means passenger services at these stations will remain halted until further notice. According to the new schedule, passengers can only use MRT passes on two metro trains departing from Uttara Uttar Metro rail station at 7:10 am and 7:20 am. Similarly, MRT passes will be required for metro trains leaving Motijheel Metro Rail Station after 9:13 pm.

For those looking to purchase single journey tickets, they will be available at metro rail stations from 7:20 am to 8:50 pm. Passengers can also purchase and top up their MRT passes during this time. However, all ticket offices and machines at the stations will close after 8:50 pm, so travelers should plan accordingly.
