Dhaka, August 28 — Officers and employees of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) have contributed an amount equal to one day's salary to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund to support the flood-affected people in the country.
The donation, amounting to Tk 14 lakh 91 thousand 658, was handed over to the Local Government Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman on Wednesday afternoon. DSCC Administrator Muhammad Sher Ali presented the cheque on behalf of the corporation's employees.
This initiative follows similar contributions from various ministries and institutions, which have also donated one day's salary to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund to assist those impacted by the recent floods. The funds aim to provide much-needed relief to the affected communities, ensuring support for their recovery and welfare.
