After a mainly favorable start to the week for major Asian indexes, Europe's main stock markets stabilized at the opening of trade on Monday.

The FTSE 100 index in London decreased by 0.1 percent to 7,673.53 points.

Frankfurt's DAX index was unchanged at 17,736.42 while the Paris CAC 40 dropped 0.1 percent to 7,925.94 points within the eurozone.
