A heatwave is going on across the country. Even if it rains occasionally, people are not saved from the heat. At the same time, intense load-shedding of electricity is going on in Cox’s Bazar.
Major tourist hubs of the country, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, and Kuakata, have been negatively affected by the heat wave and load shedding, and even the longest beach, Cox's Bazar, has seen fewer tourists.

From residential hoteliers to tourism businessmen, they are spending idle time. Every year, there was a crowd of tourists at this time. Therefore, the businessmen feel that the tourism business has collapsed due to heat and load shedding.
At the same time, the political unrest ahead of the election has also damaged tourism to some extent.

If the hotel and restaurant sector has a business of Tk 200 crore, the businessmen associated with tourism believe that the total business can be Tk 300 crore, with another 100 crore in other sectors, including transport.

Cox's Bazar Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Abu Morshed Chowdhury Khoka told Voice7 News that the tourism business is now in a slump due to fewer tourists. On the other hand, millions of tourists descended on Cox's Bazar during the Eid and Baisakh holidays.
