Dhaka, Sep 15 (V7N) – Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed confirmed that discussions with a visiting US delegation have included repatriation of money smuggled abroad and financial reform. The meeting, held at the Padma State Guest House, focused primarily on cooperation in the financial sector and trade.

"Our discussions with the US Treasury Department and USAID were centered on financial reform and identifying areas for collaboration in the financial sector. Trade was another key topic, where we explored technical assistance and market opportunities," Ahmed told reporters.

The adviser emphasized that the action plan for these discussions will move forward, with the US delegation offering its full support.

In addition, Dr. Ahmed highlighted an additional $200 million contribution to the existing development cooperation agreement with USAID, bringing further financial support to ongoing projects.
