Ashulia, Oct 12 (V7N) — Senior Home Secretary Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen emphasized the need for communal harmony and vigilance in maintaining peace during this year's Durga Puja celebrations. He made these remarks during his visit to the Sri Sri Durga Mandir in the Narsinghpur area of Ashulia on Thursday night.

Dr. Momen acknowledged that this year’s celebration has come with its own set of challenges, but urged people to stay united in their commitment to upholding justice and protecting the communal bond that holds society together. He also called on the public to remain alert to criminal elements that could disrupt the festivities.

The event was presided over by Ashish Chandra Nag , founding president of the Bangladesh Puja Celebration Parishad Ashulia police station . The chief guest, Babu Barun Bhowmik Nayan , president of the Savar Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad and senior journalist, also addressed the gathering.

Abubakar Sarkar , Savar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, and ASP Shahinur Kabir , of Savar Circle , Dhaka district, were present as special guests at the ceremony, which highlighted the importance of unity and peace during one of the largest religious festivals in Bangladesh.
