Dhaka, Jan 25 (V7N) — After being temporarily suspended due to a mechanical fault, a section of Dhaka’s metro rail has resumed operations, with authorities working to restore full service on the entire route.

Operations were halted at 1:39 PM on Saturday due to a failure in the Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) system, causing disruption across the network. Partial service between Pallabi and Motijheel on the loop line resumed at 2:05 PM, but trains from Uttara to Pallabi remain out of operation.

The Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) assured the public that their technical team is actively addressing the issue to restore normal operations as soon as possible.

Passengers have been advised to stay updated on service announcements as the situation develops. The authorities apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed confidence in resolving the problem promptly.
