Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Md Atiqul Islam announced that specific roads in the DNCC area will be allocated for cycling for two days each month. The announcement was made during the "Pedal for Planet" cycling rally organized by Jaago Foundation and Volunteer for Bangladesh on Saturday.

The rally, aimed at raising awareness about carbon emissions and environmental protection, started from the Sangsad Bhaban at 8 am and concluded at Gulshan-2 Square, with 350 cyclists participating.

Mayor Atiqul Islam emphasized the importance of physical exercise and sports for a healthy society and encouraged the youth to engage in outdoor activities. He also highlighted the environmental benefits of cycling and expressed plans to create dedicated cycle lanes.
