Dhaka, August 6 - The streets of Dhaka are gradually returning to normalcy following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the subsequent unrest. On Tuesday morning, the movement of people and vehicles was visible across the capital, although public transport was noticeably absent.

In the early hours, the city saw an influx of rickshaws, CNG auto-rickshaws, and private vehicles, with many people resorting to walking to reach their destinations due to the lack of public buses. Despite the resumption of daily activities, a palpable sense of panic lingered among the citizens, a stark reminder of the violence and upheaval witnessed the previous day.

Educational institutions, which were set to reopen today, have yet to see a significant return of students. Most classrooms and school premises remain deserted. Teachers attribute the low attendance to the lingering fear and uncertainty among students and parents. They believe it may take more time for normalcy to fully return, as families remain cautious in the aftermath of recent events.

As the capital slowly recovers, residents are navigating a delicate balance between resuming their daily routines and remaining vigilant in the face of ongoing instability.
