Dhaka, Dec 16 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has indicated the potential formation of a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours, which may bring rainfall to coastal and other regions of the country by Friday.
According to the 72-hour weather forecast issued on Monday morning (December 16), the current seasonal low-pressure area lies in the south Bay of Bengal, with an extension reaching the north Bay of Bengal. The subcontinental high-pressure ridge has also extended into West Bengal and adjoining areas, setting the stage for the formation of a low-pressure area in the southeast Bay.
