Dhaka, Dec 18, (V7N) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted that the temperature across the country may decrease by up to 3 degrees Celsius in the next three days.

According to the forecast by meteorologist Shahnaaz Sultana, the weather will remain dry across the country, with partially cloudy skies, for the next 24 hours. During this period, there may be a slight increase in both day and night temperatures. Additionally, light to moderate fog may occur in parts of the country, especially during the early morning hours.

For Wednesday, December 18, starting from 6:00 pm, the weather is expected to be mainly dry with partial cloudiness, though light rain is possible in some areas of the Khulna division. Night temperatures are likely to decrease slightly, while day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged. During the night, light to moderate fog may occur in some places.

Looking ahead to Thursday, December 19, the weather forecast indicates that light to moderate rain or thunderstorms may occur in some areas of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Meanwhile, the rest of the country is expected to experience mainly dry weather with partially cloudy skies. Night and day temperatures are expected to decrease by 1-3 degrees Celsius, and again, light to moderate fog may form in parts of the country during the night and early morning hours.

The department has also warned that rainfall trends are likely to continue during the first half of the next five days. This will result in a decrease in day temperatures.

The Meteorological Department has advised the public to stay alert and be prepared for temperature fluctuations, especially with the expected fog during the early hours of the day, which can reduce visibility. People in the affected areas are also cautioned about the possibility of light rain and thunderstorms, which may cause temporary disruptions in daily activities.

The department has recommended that those traveling during early morning hours be extra cautious due to the fog, which may affect road visibility. Moreover, as the temperature is expected to drop, it is important for people, particularly in rural and low-lying areas, to keep themselves warm and take necessary precautions against the cold weather.

In summary, the weather forecast for the coming days suggests a slight decrease in temperatures, with dry conditions continuing in most areas. However, light rain, thunderstorms, and fog are expected in various regions, and people are urged to take precautions to stay safe from the weather changes.
