Dhaka, Dec 22, (V7N) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting light to moderate rainfall in several areas of three divisions across the country by Sunday evening. These regions are expected to see localized showers, which could provide some relief from the ongoing dry conditions in other parts of the country.

For the rest of Bangladesh, the weather is anticipated to remain predominantly dry with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are expected to be mild, with no significant changes in the overall climate across most regions.

On Saturday night, the BMD observed that the low-pressure system, which had formed over the west-central Bay of Bengal and its surrounding areas, weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area. This system, which had been moving east-northeast, is no longer expected to have a major impact on the weather, and its influence is gradually diminishing.

As a result of the weakening system, the BMD has advised the maritime ports along the coastline to lower their warning signals, indicating that the risk of severe weather conditions has decreased. However, the ports are still encouraged to remain vigilant as weather patterns can shift unexpectedly.

The forecast suggests that most of the country will experience dry conditions for the remainder of the day, with the possibility of brief showers in specific areas later in the evening. The BMD will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as needed.
