Panchagarh, Dec 26 (V7N)— A mild cold wave has been sweeping across Panchagarh district for the past five days, bringing discomfort to residents, especially low-income individuals. The fluctuating temperatures over the last two weeks have done little to ease the intensity of the cold.

The district has been experiencing light fog from evening until early morning, followed by partial sunshine during the day. However, the warmth of the sun has not been enough to counter the chilling cold winds.

On Thursday, Tentulia in Panchagarh recorded the country's lowest temperature at 9.5°C, according to Jitendra Nath Roy, officer-in-charge of the Tentulia Meteorological Office. The temperature on Wednesday night was slightly lower at 9.3°C. For the past three days, the minimum temperature in Tentulia and Panchagarh has remained below 10°C, marking the resurgence of a mild cold wave.

Earlier this month, the district endured a six-day cold wave from December 13 to 18, with temperatures ranging from 8.4°C to 9.5°C.

As the cold wave continues, residents, particularly those with limited resources, are struggling to cope with the chilly conditions. Local authorities are monitoring the situation closely, with many hoping for relief in the coming days.
