Dhaka, Mar 08 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a five-day weather forecast for the country, including the capital Dhaka, predicting rain or thundershowers in several divisions over the coming days.
According to a forecast released by meteorologist Md. Toriful Newaz Kabir on Saturday, night temperatures may rise slightly across the country, while daytime temperatures could decrease slightly during this period.
Sunday (March 8)
Rain or thundershowers may occur in one or two places in Khulna and Barisal divisions by Sunday evening. Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. Day temperatures may drop slightly, while night temperatures could rise slightly.
Next 24 Hours from Sunday Evening
From 6:00 pm Sunday, rain or thundershowers may occur in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions. In other areas, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. Day temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged, while night temperatures may increase slightly.
Monday (March 9)
Rain or thundershowers are expected in one or two places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Day temperatures may decrease slightly, while night temperatures may rise slightly.
Tuesday (March 10)
Similar weather conditions may persist, with rain or thunderstorms in parts of the same eight divisions. Day temperatures may drop slightly, while night temperatures will likely remain almost unchanged.
Wednesday (March 11)
Rain or thundershowers may again occur in isolated places across the same divisions, with day temperatures remaining nearly unchanged and night temperatures decreasing slightly.
The Meteorological Department also noted that the tendency for rain or thunderstorms may gradually decrease toward the end of the five-day forecast period.
