The meteorological office has issued a forecast indicating the likelihood of light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds in various divisions of Bangladesh.

According to the forecast, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions are expected to experience rain or thundershowers at most places, while Rangpur and Chattogram divisions may see such conditions at many places. Additionally, there may be isolated occurrences of rain in Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Barishal divisions, with some areas in Mymensingh and Sylhet expecting moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather is predicted to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.

The presence of a trough of low pressure over West Bengal, extending to the Northwest Bay, along with fairly active monsoon conditions over Bangladesh and moderate activity over the North Bay, contributes to the anticipated weather patterns.

Furthermore, mild heatwave conditions persist in several districts, including Rajshahi, Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jashore, Barishal, Patuakhali, Jhalokathi, and Barguna.

Thursday saw maximum temperatures reaching 37.5 degrees Celsius in Patuakhali and Khulna, while the lowest temperature recorded was 23.6 degrees Celsius in Naogaon district.

Day and night temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged across the country, with continued discomfort due to high moisture levels.

In the capital city, Dhaka, the sun is set to rise at 05:10 am tomorrow and set at 06:45 pm today.
