The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a forecast predicting widespread rainfall accompanied by gusty winds across all eight divisions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.

According to the morning weather bulletin, "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, along with temporary gusty winds, are expected in most places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Some areas may experience moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall."

The bulletin highlights that the monsoon is currently active over Bangladesh, with particularly strong conditions prevailing over the North Bay. This meteorological pattern is likely to intensify rainfall across the country.

As a result of the active monsoon, both day and night temperatures are anticipated to decrease slightly nationwide.

Looking ahead, the weather outlook for the next 72 hours suggests that the precipitation activity is expected to persist.

On Monday, Jashore recorded the highest temperature in the country at 33.8 degrees Celsius, while today's lowest temperature of 23.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bandarban.

Rainfall measurements indicate that Bandarban received 108 mm of rain in the last 24 hours starting from 6 am today.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:50 pm today and rise at 5:15 am tomorrow.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions against potential impacts of heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
