The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers in all divisions, including Dhaka, over the next 24 hours starting from 9am Sunday.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely in many places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions, with heavy falls in Rangpur," according to a met office update.

Jessore recorded the highest rainfall of 120mm in the past 24 hours till 6am Sunday.

Slight increases in day and night temperatures are expected countrywide, with the highest temperature of 34.2°C recorded in Pabna’s Ishurdi and the lowest at 24.3°C in Bandarban.

The monsoon is currently fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.
