A low-pressure system has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, affecting the adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh. This weather phenomenon has led to rough sea conditions in the Bay of Bengal, particularly near Kuakata, and has caused continuous rainfall in the coastal regions.

The sky remains overcast, and the Meteorological Office has expressed concerns about the potential impact of this low-pressure system on the coastal areas. As a precautionary measure, all sea ports in the country, including Pyara, have been instructed to hoist local warning signal number 3.

Additionally, all fishing trawlers have been advised to proceed with caution and stay close to the coast to avoid the rough seas.

The Meteorological Office continues to monitor the situation closely and urges residents in the affected areas to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
