Dhaka, Sep 10 (V7N) – A low-pressure system currently positioned over Odisha and adjacent East Central Province is expected to influence weather patterns across Bangladesh, leading to potential rainfall in various regions.

According to the Meteorological Department's forecast for the next 72 hours, starting from 6 am on Tuesday, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds may affect multiple areas, including Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, as well as parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions.

The forecast indicates that while there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas, the day and night temperatures are expected to remain stable. Rainfall is likely to be sporadic, with gusty winds and thundershowers occurring temporarily.

For the period from 9 am on Monday, similar weather conditions are anticipated, with most places in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, along with several areas in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions, experiencing light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Some regions may see moderate to very heavy rainfall.

The forecast also suggests a potential decrease in rainfall intensity by Tuesday, though light to moderate rain or thunder with gusty winds may still occur in many parts of the country. The extended five-day forecast hints at a gradual reduction in rainfall trend.

Overall, the weather conditions are expected to be influenced by the low-pressure system, but temperature changes are anticipated to be minimal.
