Dhaka, Sep 12 (V7N): A Dhaka court has ordered the detention of Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSaD) President Hasanul Haq Inu, former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, following the conclusion of their remand.

On Thursday morning, the investigating officer presented the four individuals before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, requesting their detention after the completion of their remand.

Despite applications for bail by their defense lawyers, the court rejected the bail requests and ordered them to be sent to jail.

Additionally, on the same day, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was shown arrested in connection with four separate cases.
