The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has officially launched investigations into allegations of corruption against former land minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed, former Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia and former Detective Branch (DB) chief Harunor Rashid.

ACC Secretary Khorseheda Yasmeen on Sunday announced that separate committees would be established within the next couple of days to carry out the investigations.

Sources within the ACC revealed that the commission had received multiple complaints accusing the three officials of illegally accumulating assets worth crores of taka through corrupt practices and irregularities.
