Rangamati, Nov 29 (V7N) — A bus carrying passengers overturned in the Manikchhari area of Rangamati city on Friday morning, injuring 20 people. The bus, which was traveling from Rangunia to attend a religious program at Rajbanvihar, lost control and flipped over near Munshi Abdur Rouf Chattar.

According to passengers, the bus was carrying 40 people when the incident occurred. The fire service and police responded promptly to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Rangamati General Hospital for treatment.

Sadia Chowdhury, an on-duty doctor at the hospital, confirmed that the injuries ranged from minor to severe. Three seriously injured passengers were referred to Chittagong for further medical care.

Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
