Chapainawabganj is commemorating Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day (2024) by honoring the language martyrs with a lavish homage.
The ceremonies for the day began at 12:01, one minute after midnight, with the laying of wreaths at the altar of Central Shaheed Minar on the grounds of Nawabganj Government College.
The Bangladesh Awami League and its front organizations, the district administration of Chapainawabganj, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations placed the wreaths.
At sunup, all government and non-government buildings flew the national flag at half mast.
In addition, other educational establishments organized events to commemorate the day.
Additional events planned for the day include special prayers at all prayer houses following Zohr prayers, as well as a discussion meeting, prize distribution, and cultural event at Bangabandhu Manch, which is located on the grounds of the Deputy Commissioner's office, in the afternoon.
In addition, there have previously been contests for handwriting, drawing, recitation, essay writing, language songs, and language song dancing.
