Jhalakathi, Jan 20 (V7N) - The 89th birth anniversary of martyred statesman Ziaur Rahman was celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm in Rajapur, Jhalakathi. The Rajapur City Chhatra Dal and Tarun Dal organized separate programs on Sunday to honor the day.

The Rajapur City Chhatra Dal hosted a doa mahfil and cake-cutting ceremony at night. Distinguished attendees included Rajapur Upazila BNP President Adv. Talukder Abul Kalam Azad, Vice President Zakir Hossain Minu, Juba Dal Convener Masum Billah Parvez, Joint Convener Abu Sayem Akon, Member Secretary Syed Nazmul Haque, Volunteer Dal Convener Ratan Debnath, Chhatra Dal Acting Convener Sakhawat Hossain Rabbi, Member Secretary Rafiq Mridha, and City Chhatra Dal President Mahim Talukder, along with other leaders and activists.

Simultaneously, the Tarun Dal's Rajapur Upazila branch commemorated the occasion at their head office in the evening with a cake-cutting ceremony. Senior Vice President Md. Jewel Sardar, General Secretary Md. Yamin Howlader, Organizing Secretary Md. Lyon Mollah, and other Tarun Dal leaders graced the event with their presence.

The ceremonies reflected the deep respect for Ziaur Rahman’s contributions to the nation, uniting members of BNP's affiliated organizations in remembrance.
