The deceased's remains had earlier departed the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for their homes in Cox's Bazar on Saturday, March 2, at approximately 10:30 am. They arrived at Shahjalal's father-in-law Ramur's Fatekhankul at about 8:30 pm. After Shahjalal's wife's funeral at her father's home, her body was also taken to Murichya for burial. At 10 p.m., the deceased remains of Shahjalal and his daughter were then transported to their Murichya home.
It should be mentioned that a fire at Bailey Road in Dhaka claimed the lives of these three Ukhia family members, who were from Cox's Bazar.
