Netrokona, Apr 14 (V7N)– Netrokona district today embraced the Bengali New Year 1432 with a day-long series of vibrant events. A festive atmosphere permeated the district on Monday, April 14th, as processions, folk fairs, and cultural programs marked the arrival of Pahela Baishakh.

The New Year celebrations commenced in the morning at the old Collectorate grounds in Moktarpara. The day's program began with a stirring rendition of the national anthem, "Amar Sonar Bangla," followed by the iconic welcoming song of the Bengali New Year, "Eso He Baishakh." Subsequently, a colorful Baisakhi procession, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region, made its way through the main thoroughfares of the city.
