Habiganj, Apr 20 (V7N) - Syed Saeed Uddin Degree College in Madhabpur Upazila, Habiganj, held a reception on Sunday morning to honor Alhaj Syed Mohammad Faisal, the newly elected president of the college's governing body.

The event, organized by the Teachers' Council, took place in the college auditorium. Principal Md. Zahir Uddin presided over the reception and exchange of views, while Vice Principal Mozammel Haque served as the moderator.

Alhaj Syed Mohammad Shahjahan, a member of the college's governing council and former Upazila Parishad chairman, was also present.

In his address, newly elected president Syed Md. Faisal highlighted the college's significance as the primary institution for higher education in Madhabpur since its establishment in 1986. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the college and affirmed his commitment to educational development. "Despite various obstacles, we have always worked for the development of education. Although we were politically distanced in the past, the common people were by our side. Those who conspired are gone today. We will always work for the welfare of the people," he stated.

Former Upazila Chairman Syed Md. Shahjahan emphasized the crucial role of teachers in enhancing the quality of education at the college. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts among teachers, students, and guardians to elevate the institution to become one of the nation's leading educational establishments.
